This year Congress is focused on cutting spending and preparing for the November elections. In order to ensure that the NIH continues to receive support, the scientific community needs to make the case to Congress that increased funding for the NIH is necessary even in the current budgetary environment.
Your advocacy efforts DO make a difference-so please make sure to contact your Members of Congress and ask them to support research in the Fiscal Year 2013 Appropriations Bills.
