CIBR Holds Summit on Radiation Dose

On February 24 and 25, the Coalition for Imaging and Bioengineering Research (CIBR) co-sponsored a summit on radiation dose exposure with the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) in Bethesda Maryland.

The summit was entitled “Management of Radiation Dose in Computerized Tomography: Toward the Sub-mSv Exam,”and featured panels and presentations that showcased a wide variety of perspectives on this important topic. Several of the speakers and moderators were leaders of the Academy of Radiology Research, including Radiology Department Chairs Dr. Hedvig Hricak from Memorial Sloan Kettering; Dr. Norbert Pelc from Stanford University; Dr. William Bradley from UCSD, Dr. James Brink from Yale; Dr. James Thrall from Massachusetts General; and Dr. Steven Seltzer from Brigham and Women’s.
